Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo
1 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold water
Preparation

Cook 2 cups sugar, Karo and hot water in one pan.
Combine 1 cup sugar and cold water in second pan; boil until it spins a thread.
In the meantime, beat 2 egg whites stiff in a large bowl. Pour slowly the second pan into this and beat well.
Cook the first pan until it hardens when tested in water.
Stir that into second mixture and add 1 teaspoon white vanilla.
Nuts may be added if desired.
You will need to work fast when dropping by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
