Sparkling Punch Bowl - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 pkg. (4 serving size) jello
    1 bottle ginger ale
    5 c. cut up fruit
    8 c. boiling water
    ice cubes
    1 can (2 oz.) pineapple chunks in juice, drained
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Combine ginger ale and ice cubes to make 8 cups.
    Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
    Remove any unmelted ice.
    Measure 4 cups of gelatin and set aside.
    Fold cut up fruit and pineapple chunks into remaining gelatin. Pour into large punch bowl.
    Chill until set, but not firm.
    Whip reserved gelatin until thick and fluffy and double in size.
    Pour over top of gelatin and chill until firm.
