Oven-Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 stick margarine
    1 cut up frying chicken
    shortening
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Put shortening in pan and set in oven to melt.
    Mix flour, salt and pepper in paper bag.
    Shake 3 or 4 pieces of chicken at a time in bag and coat.
    Place chicken, skin side down in a single layer in hot shortening.
    Bake 30 minutes, then turn and bake another 30 minutes until tender.
    Also good for pork chops.
