Smothered Steak And Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp beef-flavored bouillon granules
    1 c hot water
    4 (4 oz) cubed sirloin steak
    1/2 tsp salt-free lemon-herb seasoning
    cooking spray
    1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
    1 Tbsp cornstarch
    1/4 c water
    2 c hot cooked long-grained rice
Preparation
    Combine bouillon granules and hot water; stir well, and set aside.
    Sprinkle steaks with lemon-herb seasoning.
    Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot.
    Add steaks; cook 2 minutes in each side or until browned. Add onion and bouillon; bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 12 minutes or until onion is tender.
    Remove steaks and onion from skillet with a slotted spoon; set aside. and keep warm. Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water, stir well.
    Add to cooking liquid in skillet; cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly.
    Place rice on a plate and top with steak and onion.
    Divide gravy evenly over each serving.
    Makes 4 servings.
