Party Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

9-inch pastry shell
1 pt. softened vanilla ice cream
1 Tbsp. chopped, candied ginger
1 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. whipping cream
1 1/2 c. tiny marshmallows
Preparation

Bake and cool pastry.
Combine ice cream and candied ginger. Spread ice cream mixture in shell.
Freeze.
Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, ground ginger and nutmeg.
Whip cream; fold into pumpkin mixture.
Add marshmallows.
Spread pumpkin mixture over ice cream layer.
Freeze.
Serve with additional whipped cream.
