Cheese Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 12 slices bread (enough to have 2 layers in a 9 x 13-inch dish)
    3/4 lb. cheese (Colby or Cheddar, your choice), sliced or crumbled
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, spinach or asparagus, cooked and drained
    2 c. diced cooked ham
    6 slightly beaten eggs
    3 1/2 c. milk
    1 to 2 tsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Place a layer of bread slices in dish.
    Layer cheese, vegetables
    and meat on top of bread.
    Cover with another layer of bread.
    Combine milk, eggs, onion, salt and mustard.
    Pour over the layered food in pan.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 55 minutes. Can sprinkle more cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
    Let sit 10 minutes before slicing.
