Bavarian Torte (Cheese Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c butter or oleo
    1/3 c sugar
    1/4 tsp vanilla
    3/4 c flour
    2/3 c finely chopped nuts
    8 oz cream cheese (soft)
    1/4 c sugar
    1 egg and 1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp sugar
    1 - 29 oz can sliced peaches (well drained)
Preparation
    In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat butter, 1/3 c sugar and 1/4 tsp vanilla until well blended.
    Gradually add flour and continue beating until well mixed.
    Stir in nuts.
    With lightly floured hands press into a 9 inch pie plate.
    In a small bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese and 1/4 c sugar just until smooth.
    Beat in egg and 1/2 tsp vanilla until well blended.
    Pour over crust.
    preheat oven to 450 degrees.
    In a large bowl combine sugar and cinnamon; add peach slices and toss gently.
    arrange on top of cheese mixture.
    Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 400 degrees and bake 25 minutes longer. Serve either warm or cold.
