Beef-Okra Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew meat
    2 Tbsp. oil
    3 c. water
    2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. red pepper pods
    1 minced clove garlic
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. cut okra
Preparation
    Brown beef, pour off drippings.
    Add water, sugar, salt, pepper pods and garlic.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Drain tomatoes. Combine flour with 1/4 cup tomato liquid.
    Stir into beef.
    Add tomatoes, remaining tomato liquid and onion.
    Continue cooking, covered, 30 minutes.
    Stir in corn, green pepper and okra; cook 10 to 12 minutes more.
