Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    sliced peaches
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Line pan with sliced peaches.
    Make batter of oleo, milk, baking powder, vanilla, 1/2 cup sugar, flour and salt.
    Pour batter over peaches and spread.
    Mix 1 cup sugar with water and pour over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    If I use frozen peaches, I cut the sugar in the syrup to 1/2 cup.
