Corned Beef And Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    corned beef (3 to 4 lb.)
    whole peppercorns
    bay leaf
    1 clove garlic
    vegetables (carrots, potatoes, cabbage)
    1 large onion
    butter
    mustard
    brown sugar
Preparation
    Rinse corned beef with cold water and place in large pot, cover with water and season with whole peppercorns, bay leaf and garlic.
    Bring to a boil for 10 minutes, then reduce heat and slow cook for 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
    Drain meat.
    Save some broth to cook vegetables in.
