Zesty Italian Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 Tbsp. dried oregano
    1 Tbsp. dried thyme
    2 Tbsp. dried parsley, chopped
    6 cloves garlic
    3 bay leaves
    36 c. tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 c. chopped onions
Preparation
    First wash and cut up tomatoes.
    Let stand in a colander 15 to 20 minutes to drain.
    In a 10-quart Dutch oven, combine tomatoes, brown sugar, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
    When cooked, puree through a food mill.
    Return puree to pan.
    Add onions, parsley, thyme, oregano, basil, garlic and bay leaves.
    Boil gently uncovered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until thick.
