Crisp Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers, cut crosswise
    3 c. lime
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    4 1/2 lb. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. mace
Preparation
    Soak cucumber in 2 gallons of water with lime for 24 hours. Remove from lime water and soak in clear water for 4 hours. Change water every hour.
