German Sweet Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

1 (4 oz.) pkg. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
1/4 c. margarine
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 deep 9-inch unbaked pie shell or 2 (8-inch) shells
1 1/3 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Melt chocolate with margarine over low heat.
Stir until blended.
Remove from heat.
Blend in milk.
Mix in sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Blend into chocolate mixture.
Pour into pie shell(s).
Combine coconut and nuts.
Sprinkle over filling.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Filling will set as it cools.
Cut after 4 hours.
(Cover loosely with foil the last 15 minutes in oven.)
