Ingredients

3 lb. firm cooking pears
1 orange, seeded
1 lemon, seeded
1 c. crushed pineapple
4 or 5 c. sugar
3 or 4 whole cloves
about 6-inch stick cinnamon
1 (1-inch) piece ginger
Preparation

Peel and core pears.
Wash orange and lemon.
Put the fruit through a grinder, using a coarse blade (or a food processor will work well).
Save the juices.
Combine pulp, juices, pineapple sugar and spices.
Heat the mixture, stirring constantly.
Boil for about 30 minutes.
Pour into hot, sterilized jars.
