Spinach Casserole - cooking recipe

2 (10 oz.) pkg. chopped spinach
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
salt and freshly ground pepper
1 c. soft bread crumbs
3/4 tsp. ground sage
Preparation

Prepare oven at 350\u00b0. Cook the spinach according to package directions and drain. Mix spinach with cheese and 1/2 of the butter, then salt and pepper to taste. Stir to mix well. Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Melt the remaining butter. Toss with the bread crumbs and sage; sprinkle the mixture over spinach. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until bubbly hot and lightly brown.
