Red Devil Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, creamed
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. red food coloring
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. cocoa

Preparation

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs.
Add vanilla.
Add cake flour (sifted) and buttermilk.
Mix vinegar and soda, then add to batter.
