Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean beef, cut into 1-inch squares
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 onions, sliced
    2 Tbsp. oil
    4 potatoes, diced
    4 carrots, diced
    2 turnips, diced
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Sprinkle meat squares with salt, pepper and flour.
    Brown with onions in the oil.
    Add water to cover; simmer for 1 hour or until tender.
    Add the vegetables; cook until tender.
    Season with salt and pepper and parsley.
    Serves 4.
