Shortbreads - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
Preparation

Cream the margarine and sugar.
Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add vanilla and pecans.
Roll into 1/2-inch balls and place on cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
When golden, remove from cookie sheet.
Roll in powdered sugar and allow to cool.
Yields an average of 4 dozen, quarter-size balled cookies.
