White Mountain Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white syrup
    4 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook all
    ingredients,\texcept\tegg whites and vanilla. Cook until spins
    thread;
    pour\t1/3
    over
    beaten egg whites. Cook until soft boil;
    pour 1/3 over egg whites, beating after each addition.
    Cook
    remainder\tuntil hard crack.
    Repeat the same. Add vanilla.
    This may be used on coconut, banana or any kind of cake.
