Baked Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Jonathan or Winesap apples
    1 c. sugar, divided in 1/2
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Peel, core and slice apples into bowl.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, cloves and lemon juice.
    Mix and put into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
