Harvard Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. margarine
    2 large onions, thinly sliced
    1/2 small green pepper, finely chopped
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. American cheese, diced
    1/2 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, broken up
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Melt margarine in medium-size skillet.
    Add onions and green pepper; cook until limp.
    Remove and set aside.
