Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs. beef, browned
    1/4 - 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 T. oil, if necessary
    16 oz. can chopped tomatoes
    3 bay leaves
    1 large can tomato juice
    4 c. water
    5-6 beef bouillon cubes
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    2 c. chopped potatoes
    2 c. cut carrots
    1/2 - 1 c. chopped cabbage
    2 c. green beans
    1 can corn
    1 can peas
    salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation
    Cook meat and onion until onion is soft.
    Add tomatoes and bay leaves.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Add next 7 ingredients.
    Cook on medium heat until vegetables are done.
    Add remaining ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste.
    Remove bay leaves.
