Picante Black Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 sliced bacon, diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
2 (15 oz.) cans black beans, undrained
1 (14 oz.) can beef broth
1 1/4 c. water
3/4 c. Pace picante sauce
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed
dairy sour cream
Preparation

Cook bacon in 3-quart saucepan until crisp.
Remove bacon to paper towels.
Add onion and garlic to drippings.
Cook and stir 3 minutes.
Add beans, broth, water, Pace picante sauce, salt and oregano.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
When ready to serve, ladle into soup bowls.
Top with sour cream and sprinkle with reserved bacon.
Serve with additional Pace picante sauce.
This is a hot spicy food.
