`Best' Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 sq. chocolate
    1 c. hot water
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Melt chocolate; cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour and add alternately with buttermilk. Add 1/2 cup hot water to chocolate mixture.
    Bring the other 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Add soda to boiling water. Pour into chocolate batter and add vanilla. Mix well. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325\u00b0.
