Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Grease bottom and sides of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Reserve 2/3 cup of dry cake mix.
    Combine remaining cake mix, margarine and 1 egg. Mix together.
    Press into prepared pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Mix 2/3 cup cake mix, brown sugar, syrup, vanilla, 3 eggs and chopped pecans.
    Pour over partially baked crust.
    Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool and cut into bars.
