Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    4 c. chopped rhubarb
    1 c. sugar
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. red jello (strawberry is good)
Preparation
    Put rhubarb in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle sugar evenly over, then the package of jello.
    Make cake:
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add egg.
    Add flour and milk.
    Spoon over cake and bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
