Hard Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
1 tsp. Lorann flavoring
powdered sugar
Preparation

Mix the first 3 ingredients in a large, heavy saucepan.
Stir over high heat until sugar dissolves.
Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310\u00b0 or until drops of syrup form hard brittle threads in cold water.
Remove from heat.
After boiling has ceased, stir in flavoring and coloring.
Pour onto 30 inches of heavy-duty foil covered with powdered sugar.
Cool.
Break into pieces.
Store in airtight containers.
Makes in excess of 2 pounds.
