Herb Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. (1 qt.) canned tomatoes, cut up
    2 1/2 c. herb stuffing mix, divided
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    1/2 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
    1/4 tsp. leaf rosemary, crumbled
    dash of thyme
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 c. margarine
Preparation
    In a greased 2 quart casserole, mix together tomatoes and 2 cups of stuffing mix.
    Stir in onion, sugar and seasoning mix. Dot with margarine; sprinkle remaining stuffing mix on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Yield:
    8 servings.
    We have used this recipe at our church suppers.
