Verba'S Gooseberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
    1 pt. gooseberries
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. butter
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar; stir into gooseberries.
    Put on stove and begin to warm.
    Beat 2 eggs.
    Add to mixture before it gets too hot.
    Cook until thickens.
    Add butter.
    When cool, cover with whipped cream.
    I mash berries to prevent sour bites.
    Will make 2 small 8-inch pieces or large 9-inch pie.
