Esther'S Version Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 kinds lettuce (iceberg and romaine)
    red pepper, chopped
    Hellmann's mayonnaise
    crumbled cooked bacon (not bacon bits)
    carrots, shredded
    red onion, chopped
    cooked peas
    sugar
    grated mild yellow cheese
Preparation
    Lay in lettuce in rectangular dish or pan.
    One at a time, sprinkle on carrots, onion, pepper and peas.
    Cover, as if spreading butter, the whole top of lettuce mixture with mayonnaise.
    Should cover completely.
    Sprinkle sugar and then bacon.
    Finish with a covering of cheese.
    Cover with wrap and refrigerate all day or overnight.
