Licorice Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
    3/4 tsp. anise extract
    black food coloring paste
Preparation
    Blend all ingredients, except anise and food coloring.
    Bring to 238\u00b0, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in anise and food coloring.
    Pour into plastic wrap lined 8-inch square pan.
    Let cool overnight at room temperature.
