Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
    1 lb. ground meat
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
    1 chopped jalapeno pepper
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients and set aside.
    Saute ground meat and drain.
    Grease skillet; sprinkle thin layer of cornmeal and brown slightly.
    Pour half of batter; sprinkle all of cheese, then meat, onion and peppers.
    Pour remaining batter on top.
    Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
