Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) block sharp Cheddar cheese
    3/4 stick margarine
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    paprika
Preparation
    Let cheese and margarine soften overnight at room temperature. Mix together until blended.
    Gradually blend in flour, salt and cayenne pepper to form a soft dough.
    Fill cookie press with dough.
    Using the star design, form 2-inch straws on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Remove from oven; sprinkle with paprika.
    Cool on paper towels.
    Makes 6 to 7 dozen.
