Maple Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. hot water
    1/4 c. white Karo syrup (optional)
    1 to 2 tsp. imitation maple extract
    1 tsp. vanilla extract or 1 tsp. imitation vanilla butter and nut flavor
Preparation
    In medium pan place first 3 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Serve over pancakes or waffles.
    Makes about 1 pint syrup.
