Sauerkraut And Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mild Italian or seasoned pork sausage, formed into 1-inch balls
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    2 small apples, peeled, cored and quartered
    1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained and washed
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    parsley
Preparation
    In a heavy skillet, cook sausage and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.
    Drain excess grease.
    Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water and sugar.
    Stir in ingredients well.
    Allow to simmer, tightly covered, on a low fire, for about 1 hour.
    Garnish with parsley just before serving.
