Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. raw peanuts
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water and Karo to soft ball stage.
    Add peanuts and cook to 300\u00b0 or hard crackle stage, plus one minute.
    Remove from heat; add margarine, soda and salt.
    Stir until margarine is melted.
    Will foam up, so use 3-quart pan.
    Pour on two cookie sheets covered with foil and buttered.
    Spread out thin and let cool.
    Break into pieces and store in tight container.
    Makes lots!
