"Grandma Cunningham'S" Home Cooked Dressing For Head Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Melt margarine in small saucepan.
    Remove from stove and blend in flour.
    Add sugar, salt and egg.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add vinegar and water; mix well.
    Bring mixture to a bubbling boil, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and use hot for wilted lettuce or cold for crisp salad.
