Potato Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 c. warm mashed potatoes
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. plain flour
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Add potatoes. Put in sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in 2 or 3 layers at 300\u00b0 until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
