Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter, softened to room temperature
    2 c. sugar
    4 whole eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. (scant) flour
    8 slightly heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix well together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together and mix in.
    Stir in pecans.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased baking pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
    Do not overbake.
    Cool and cut in squares.
