Jack'S Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 lb. stew meat, cut in bite size pieces
1 large onion, chopped
2 cans mushroom soup
1/2 can water
2 small cans mushrooms
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 small carton sour cream
3 to 4 Tbsp. sherry
Preparation

Melt a small amount of shortening in large skillet.
Add onion and saute until golden.
Remove and set aside.
Saute beef in same skillet.
Add onion, soup (mixed with water) and Worcestershire sauce.
Add mushrooms.
Place in covered casserole.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 3 hours or until meat is tender.
About 15 minutes before serving, add sour cream, mixing well and return to oven for 15 minutes.
Add the sherry and serve piping hot.
Serve over noodles.
