Apricot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can apricot halves, drained and mashed (save juice)
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained and mashed (save juice)
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. orange jello
    10 marshmallows, cut into pieces or 100 mini marshmallows
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. apricot juice
    1/2 c. pineapple juice
    1 c. combine juices
    2 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 beaten egg
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 pt. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Put ingredients, except Cool Whip, in a pot; stir and cook until thick.
    Let cool.
    Add the Cool Whip and mix thoroughly. Spread over the layer of set jello.
    Garnish with grated Cheddar Cheese.
