Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
1 (8 oz.) carton commercial sour cream
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Carefully stir in potatoes.
Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
