Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. top or bottom round beef, cut into cubes
1 large onion, sliced
1 c. burgundy wine
2 c. beef stock or consomme
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. marjoram
pepper to taste
2 small cans button mushrooms
Preparation

In a medium Dutch oven, brown meat in small amount of oil and when almost brown add onion and saute until onion is golden.
Add wine, beef broth and seasonings.
Simmer very slowly (2 1/2 hours) with cover on.
Add mushrooms and thicken with water and flour. Serve over buttered noodles.
Serves 4.
