One Hour Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
3/4 c. warm buttermilk
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
pinch of soda
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Dissolve yeast in the warm water. Combine with warm buttermilk and melted shortening. Sift together salt, sugar, soda and flour. Add gradually to liquid mixture, beating smooth each time. Let stand in warm place 10 minutes, covered. Shape into rolls; let stand in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 12 rolls.
