Scratch Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour, sifted
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    With an electric mixer, cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs. Alternate flour and milk, ending with flour. If too thick, add more milk. Add vanilla. Pour into a well-greased and floured 9 x 13 glass dish. Bake at 350\u00b0 until top is slightly brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Top with your favorite homemade icing.
