Hot Buttered Rum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. milk
    1 egg, whipped
    1 c. rum
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Combine sugar and cornstarch; add to butter while stirring.
    Add milk, egg and rum.
    Cook until smooth and glossy.
    Serve over pound cake, bread pudding or ice cream.
