300 Waldorf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
2 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs.
Make a paste of the coloring and cocoa and add to sugar mixture.
Add salt, buttermilk, vanilla, vinegar and soda.
Blend in the flour slowly. Bake in 2 (8 x 8-inch) cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cool.
