Slick Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 well beaten egg
    1 tsp. lard
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Beat ingredients well.
    Blend in 1 cup (more or less) of flour with a fork.
    Shape into round balls and roll out until dough is about 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut in squares and put into boiling broth.
