Hot Dog Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. navy beans
    1 1/2 c. diced carrots
    1 1/2 c. diced celery
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 lb. wieners, sliced
Preparation
    Soak beans and drain.
    Place beans and next 5 ingredients in Dutch oven; stir well.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 2 hours or until beans are tender.
    Remove 1/2 cup bean mixture and blend smooth.
    Set aside.
