Onion Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large sliced Spanish onion
    1/4 c. butter
    12 oz. Jiffy corn muffin mix
    1/4 tsp. dill weed or seed
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1 1/3 c. shredded yellow cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    1 chopped jalapeno pepper to taste
Preparation
    For topping:
    Melt butter in skillet.
    Add onions and saute until tender.
    Let cool just a little and add sour cream, dill and half the cheese.
